Y-bearings and Housings

The standard ball bearing units from SKF are called Y-bearing units and consist of the Y-bearing, a deep-groove bearing with a spherical outer shell and the Y-bearing housings, whose bore holes are also spherically hollow. The Y-bearing units are ready for installation, filled with lubricating grease and allow compensation of misalignments caused during assembly or installation. They are available as Y-pillow block units, Y-flanged bearing units and Y-radial insert head units in many configurations. There are units with composite housings available under the name Y-TECH – gray cast iron or sheet steel. It is recommended that applications be discussed with our professionals from G.O Nilsson.
